ICTF of Canada has alot of events lined up for this year.  Our Western Championships wil be held in Edmonton this year, which is a change from the last 2 years in Jasper.  We expect to see 450 competitors and may hit 600 this year.  A lot depends on the date we manage to get a facility for.  The international competition for the ICTF is in its finished planning stage and rumour has it the event will be in July in a very warm location.  The end of January we should hear the announcement on that one.  August 18 has been penciled in for the instructor training seminar in Edmonton.  Once again no charge for members.  All ICTF of Canada Instructors will gather to train on all aspects of Taekwon-do and there will be seminars on marketing, and other business related topics.  In May we will announce the funding assistance for travel and accomodation for instructors.  Non ICTF of Canada members (black belts) are welcome to attend this  packed weekend as well.  Seminar schedules and fees will be announced in May for non members.

Just like all colour belts, black belts of all degrees must pay a membership fee to the ICTF.  All instructors should be collecting these fees during the month of January and then sending them in to the ICTF HQ in Toronto.  If you do not have the form please e-mail ICTF HQ or you can get one from ICTF of Canada. 

The First seminar for the west winner, Torrent TKD, will take place on Saturday January 21.  Start time 10:30 am, with a break at noon, then resume at 1 pm, ending at 4 pm.  The seminar will cover all colour belt patterns and the start up session will go over the rules of pattern, the training secrets of Taekwon-Do, and basic techniques required for pattern work.  All belt levels are welcome.  White belts will get a minimum of 90 minutes before they are bowed out.

All Torrent members who voted can attend for $10, non voting Torrent members can attend for $25 and any non Torrent club members are welcome for the regular seminar fee of $50.
